The Mudgee Garden Spectacular is an initiative of the Rotary Club of Mudgee, in collaboration with Mudgee CWA evening branch and support/assistance from members of Mudgee Garden Club.
At last week’s meeting Garry Connelly briefed members on the status of the Mudgee Garden Spectacular (MGS). Garry explained there are three main stages; selection of gardens, publicity and successful delivery of the event.
The first stage is almost complete and the MGS inaugural event will showcase six beautifully developed private gardens around Mudgee and surrounding areas. It will be held between 10.00am to 3.00pm on Satur-day 13th and Sunday 14th October. Mudgee CWA (evening branch) will be providing morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea at one of the gardens, “Hillgrove House”.
The current focus is on finalisation of the MGS website and preparation of brochures. This will be followed by a multimedia advertising campaign. Although still under development, Sof gave members a view of the dedicated MGS website and talked through the design and information that will be included in the final version.
In summary the MGS Committee are doing a great job of organising the event. Well done everyone.
