Gardens are often associated with an aesthetic expression of beauty and a civilised life. This expression can bring joy and pride to the owner and to the viewer. At a large scale, in public areas such as a park in a city or a botanic garden, the city or state takes good care of the precinct for the benefits it provides to the general well-being of the citizen as a place to relax, walk and for visual enjoyment of the garden.
The Rotary Club of Mudgee aims to promote gardening in Mudgee through an annual Garden Show. The Show has now become an annual event in the Mudgee Region. The Show will demonstrate many beautiful, privately developed gardens around Mudgee and surrounding areas, allowing the owners the share the pleasure and the tranquillity of their gardens while raising funds for charitable causes.
The show is now named Gardens of Mudgee having started as Mudgee Garden Spectacular in 2018 and 2019 before being re-named in 2020.
