Gardens are often associated with an expression of beauty and a civilised life. This manifestation brings joy and pride to the owner. On a larger scale, in public area such as a park in a city or a botanic garden, the city or state takes a good care of the precinct for the benefits it provides to the general well-being of the citizens as a place to relax, walk and for visual enjoyment of the garden.
Gardening encompasses many aspects of our life. These aspects include education, health and food sources, just to name a few. For this reason, gardening appeals to people, not only as a leisure pursuit but also for its intrinsic ability to fulfil mental and spiritual needs.
The Rotary Club of Mudgee aims to promote gardening through an expo in our region. The show will demonstrate many beautiful, privately developed gardens around Mudgee and surrounding areas, allowing the owners the share the pleasure and the tranquillity of their gardens while raising funds for charitable causes.
The show is named Gardens of Mudgee.
